Science and nature are facets of our world that lend themselves well to this ‘digital media revolution’. From atoms to the atmosphere, and ocean depths to mountain peaks, video media already has a track record of bringing science and nature home, however more so than ever before, the digital media industry is changing fast. Digital media in a diversity of forms has the potential to positively affect change in they way human societies respond to scientific discoveries and environmental urgencies, yet can scientists really be expected to join the creative economy, keep up with change, and use digital media to share their knowledge and propose solutions to environmental issues in an unbiased way?
